Eu-Citizen.Science, the EU plattform for citizen science posted: "On 10-11 April, the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA), which leads the creation of the European platform for citizen science, and Museum für Naturkunde (MfN), which is coordinating the EU-Citizen.Science project, organised a 24 hour long workshop in Brussels to imagine the EU citizen science platform of the future that the EU-Citizen.Science project aims to build within the next 3 years."
Communication is essential for the success of citizen science since -unlike for traditional research- it is embedded in the project from the very beginning. Here you can read some thoughts on how the communication model needs therefore to be thoroughly planned.
Prof. Muki Hacklay posted: "As part of the COST action that is dedicated to citizen science across Europe, I have participated in a training school about digital transformation, citizen science, and social innovation. The training school set out to be a five-day event for doctoral."
Last week, the citizen science training school “Where Science meets Society” took place in Erice, Italy. These are some of the ideas that were mentioned during the lectures and that could be heard in the corridors.
Summary and highlights of the workshop which took place on 12 and 13 November 2018 in Riga. Training needs and recommendations for projects with educational and scientific goals were discussed.
