Workshop Report WG4: Citizen Science Projects and social innovations
Background of the meeting
The workshop will start with a state of the art presentation on the mapping citizen science projects in the Czech Republic. Further the discussion will be focused on the topic of citizen science and social innovations. We will work on finalizing the chapter for COST Action handbook, outlining the theoretical approaches towards social innovations, understanding how citizen science can contribute to development of social innovations and presenting examples/cases from the citizen science projects.
This workshop took place not in academic space, but in the heart of several NGOs dealing with global education, fair trade, sustainable forestry and other social and environmental issues, and the main technical support was provided NGO called Na Zemi (On the Earth).
