Workshop Biological Data Collection Tool Chest
at the Citizen Science Workshop Day at Univiersity of Geneva
Maximum number of participants: 25
Setting up a new citizen science project can be a daunting experience, requiring a number multidisciplinary skills and considerations. Thankfully, many systems and tools are available to help.
This workshop will focus specifically on the tools available to support the collection of data by non-experts on a large scale (human remote sensors), including online, app-based and other systems. Through an interactive process, participants and facilitators will identify the varying needs of those wishing to collect data and identify the tools available to help address those needs. Participants will also identify gaps where new tools may be needed. The collaboratively developed outputs from the workshop will feed into an online published report/ guidance document and will be used to advise and develop future tools and workshops.
This workshop is being led by the Marine Biological Association as part of the Horizon 2020 funded ENVRIplus project.
