First international Conference on Engineering Education for the twenty-first Century
Jaume I University in Castellón (UJI) and the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU)

Jaume I University in Castellón (UJI) and the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) announced that they are organizing an International Conference in which they want to open debate about the competences associated with sustainability and social responsibility in engineering studies. The conference is focused on how to implement these competencies in our teaching. The conference will take place at the Universitat Jaume I of Castelló de la Plana (Spain) on 6th and 7th of July.

The conference will include five main sessions:

a) Service-Learning and social commitment in engineering.
b) Engineering and development co-operation.
c) Environmental sustainability.
d) Corporate and business social responsibility.
e) Engineering and gender.

We encourage you to participate and to help us spread the event to any person or institution that you think may be interested in participating (either by presenting some work, participating in the debate in the workshops or supporting it in some way).
